
Founded in 1966, Curtin University is an innovative, global university established as Australia’s first university of technology. It is associated with the Australian Technology Network, Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning, and Open Universities Australia. Earlier, the university was known by the name of the Western Australian Institute of Technology. In 1986, the Parliament of Western Australia granted it the status of a university. Curtin is a popular study destination and recognized worldwide for its tie-ups with industry, an array of innovative courses, and high-quality research. Curtin achieved five-star ratings in five categories in the 2020 Good Universities Guide. It was ranked in the top band of Australian universities for learning resources, faculty qualifications, and high-quality teaching among others.
